Optimization of investment in the search engines

Keywords.

Last week we saw how to find a list of keywords best fit your site. It was also seen how to use the title of your page (see Newsletter No. 6) and enunciate the importance of these keywords throughout your site and more particularly in the pages that reference it. Now we’ll see how best to use them in meta tags (or meta tags or meta commands).

If you do not know what the meta tags, I suggest you go see the explanation you will find on the IDF website. A simple explanation is given to you meta tags “description” and “keywords” (keywords). These are, indeed, the two most important tags for indexing in search engines.

We’ll start to see the meta tag “description”. The objective here is to give a good image for your site. The description should be about 25 words (250 characters including spaces and punctuation). I suggest you bring together two dozen of effective keywords and relevant content corresponds well to your page. Do yourself when you make the text file, be sure to check spelling errors or inattention. And even better, ask someone to check and correct any errors and / or lack of clarity. It takes more time to undo a bad referencing and / or correcting a mistake to do so without fault the first time. If you make a mistake in the email address or your URL, it is a disaster (or close!). Check, recheck and rereverifiez the data that are very important! This information represents your company for a long time.
